Voting is a human right and is a very
powerful tool to build a better social capital. Almost every country
has given the rights for voting to its citizens after they have
reached a certain age. As a minor, we are very excited about voting
when we see our elders to use their voting power. We think voting
power is something, which is badly needed in the course of achieving
our adulthoods.
The excitement even lasts for the first
few years, when we start voting. But as soon as we come to understand
that each vote counts only one drop in the ocean, our excitement puts
off. Some people really feel that it is pointless to vote for this
reason. They feel their votes will hardly make any differences in the
overall results. Apart from that, the process of voting seems to be
very length affair since it involves a long queue, a detailed
identity verifications, and other voting formalities. There are also
some people, who stop voting after an irritation on the whole
political scenario or on a particular political party.
But have you ever thought, if all of us
think likewise, what would be the results? Have you ever wondered, if
we all vote for the right persons, the social and political scenario
could be totally different? If you don’t vote, you don’t have any
right to criticize the government. Come out of the house and choose
the right persons, who you think can guide us in the right path and
can make a better world.
